Forecasts are showing a Winter Alert for our service area.
Late Friday evening could see temperatures falling below freezing with moderate winds and precipitation. The temperatures could stay below freezing until Tuesday afternoon of next week.
Please take necessary steps to prevent your water lines and meters from freezing.
Locate your shut-offs in case of emergency. Please note that customers are not allowed to use the Corporation's angle stop for any reason. NMWSC requires that all customers have their own shut offs installed within 3 foot of the meter box for their use.
If your line does freeze during this event, there is nothing that we can do in order to thaw it out. Also, they could break during the thaw process. Please keep a close eye on them during this time.
